Louay Chaaban, Editor-in-Chief of the “Robban Assafina” platform, emphasized that the continuity of this event reflects a deep conviction that the sea remains a fundamental strategic and economic choice, despite ongoing security and economic challenges. He announced preparations for the “Robban Assafina Maritime Transport Forum and Awards,” scheduled for October 7-8 in Beirut. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two-day forum will feature specialized panel discussions and the distribution of 32 maritime awards celebrating innovation and excellence in the industry. In his address, Dr. Ahmed Tamer reviewed the sector’s challenges and future prospects, noting that the 2026 strategy aims to consolidate Lebanon’s maritime position and secure international recognition for its certificates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He revealed that the Directorate recently submitted a quality file for its maritime certificates to the International Maritime Organization for independent assessment, affirming Lebanon’s commitment to global standards.
