The 62nd Regular Meeting of the Specialized Arab Federations in Cairo

With the active participation of Secretary-General Mr. Mohammed Mustafa Itani and the President’s Representative, Mr. Moamen Abdel Qawi, the 62nd regular meeting of the Specialized Arab Federations operating under the Council of Arab Economic Unity was held. Hosted at the Le Ciel Hotel in Cairo, the event witnessed high-level attendance comprising presidents and secretaries of Arab federations, alongside distinguished representatives from Arab member states.

The proceedings commenced with an opening speech by H.E. Ambassador Mohammadi Ahmed Al-Ni, Secretary-General of the Council. He welcomed the attendees and highlighted Egypt’s pioneering development and construction under the leadership of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He extended warm congratulations on the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, praising Cairo’s pivotal diplomatic role in securing a ceasefire in Gaza and hosting an international peace conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, alongside its ongoing support for Arab economic integration. Furthermore, he commended the Palestinian Authority’s relentless efforts to secure its people’s legitimate rights, as well as the growing international recognition of the State of Palestine.

This was followed by an address from Mr. Talal Ahmed Mashlah, Chairman of the meeting’s current session and President of the Arab Hotel Association, who welcomed the participating delegations. He renewed his deepest thanks and congratulations to Egypt’s leadership, government, and people. He celebrated the Grand Egyptian Museum as a global historical landmark and praised Egypt’s historic role in establishing the foundations of peace and halting the war of genocide.

Concluding the sessions, following the approval of the draft agenda and the adoption of necessary recommendations, the participants crowned their work by sending an official telegram of appreciation to H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
